No Ice, Noice!
What do you do when the most fundamental aspect of fielding an Ice Hockey team is missing? Adapt!
The Springbank Sabres are not letting the fact that they have no ice hinder them from bringing the team together for a vigorous training session. Boards not ice, socks not skates; it is all about adapting to the conditions that has seen the temporary closure of the Ice Arena in Thebarton.
Paul Howlett (Team Manager) coaches the students in the school gymnasium practicing passing, puck handling and teamwork, with experienced players Emily and Lachlan at hand to help guide the new recruits through the idiosyncrasies of the game.
It is terrific to see Springbank students seeking opportunities and using their initiative to problem solve in the light of this unique situation.
