On Thursday 11 Feb, our Year 8 HASS class had a very special lesson. During the lesson staff showed us the amazing equipment and clothes of the Vikings. Nicki demonstrated her collection of replica Viking clothes, armor, and every day tools. We passed around the clothes and everyday tools. It was very special to touch and feel the collections and different types of fabrics. The way Vikings dressed is actually very smart and fancy. Some students volunteered to try on the clothes. For me, the most interesting part was feeling the weight and coolness of the chainmail. I was surprised by the weight of the armor which was far heavier than I expected.
At the end of the day, I feel really lucky to have had this experience and grateful to all involve in this special lesson.
