Student Diversity Advisory Council
Congratulations to year 12 student Ale. Ale participated in the first meeting of the Student Diversity Advisory Council on Friday 20 August and represented her peers in a very professional manner.
The Advisory Council that has student representatives from a range of schools, has been formed to create a channel of communication and collaboration between the Minister for Education and students from diverse backgrounds. Students involved with the Council will shape education policy affecting them and give advice and feedback to the Minister on the needs of the communities they represent. This is a pilot project and the first student led group of its kind to be established in SA.
At the meeting Ale shared what she believes her role as an Advisory Council member will be, as well as her thoughts on the purpose and goal of the Council.
