Unit Year 10, 11 and 12 students recently visited E-recycling as a joint investigation into electronic recycling and sustainability

Students had the opportunity to explore the main areas of the E-recycling warehouses and to look at all types of electronics that can be recycled. Staff talked about each of the recycling areas, explaining how they dismantle the electronic waste and how each of the components are used in the creation of new products.

Daniel commented “I enjoyed ERA because I got to see lots of recycled electronic components and learn about work safety equipment and signs”

Emel shared similar enthusiasm by stating “We learnt about safety clothing and equipment and it was interesting to see all the machines and forklifts”
