Hamper delights

It has been a delicious start to our year 12 Food and Hospitality subject. Students were assigned the task of designing a themed hamper for their first summative assignment task for 2022. There was no stopping the creativity as each team drew up their concept, discussed themes and recipe options, then finally, presented ideas for how they could merchandise their creations.

Tyzanna and Kiara were inspired by their final year of High School education, presenting a graduation picnic with savoury and sweet options to devour as they reflect on their time here at Springbank Secondary College.

Tom, an avid motor sports fan, did not hesitate to bring Formula One into his creation. With the idea of a track-side food truck in mind Tom cooked up a Vegetarian (Gerhard) burger, accompanied by a fruit salad, hand squeezed orange juice and some of the yummiest oatmeal cookies you’ll ever taste.

Liam and Fin delivered a fundraising basket for the Cancer Council’s annual morning tea that included traditional scones, jam, whipped cream, cupcakes, yogurt and runny lemon custard tarts.
