Introducing Springbank Secondary College
Building on strong foundations we are creating a new future at the school in partnership with Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS) and Flinders University.
This partnership:
• Supports a small-by-design school (increasing enrolments up to 450)
• Creates a Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) focussed learning across all learning areas
• Enables inquiry-based interdisciplinary learning in the Year 8-10 Australian Curriculum in collaboration with ASMS
• Enables curriculum collaboration across ASMS and Springbank Secondary College (SSC) – shared senior years curriculum offerings (offering more choice of subjects for senior students)
• Strengthens and supports a pathway to Australian Science and Mathematics School for interested SSC students
• Supports a range of pathways to Flinders University (including portfolio entry) for SSC students
• Supports the establishment of a high performance basketball academy in partnership with Flinders University and Basketball SA
• Supports research and development in schooling redesign with Flinders University
